PRESENTATION

The aim of the Degree in Physiotherapy is to provide our students with all the training required to carry out the range of tasks corresponding to physiotherapists, whether working in the private sector (consultation centers and clinics) or in the public sector (hospital network, social and healthcare services, etc.) here or abroad.

In recent years, the demand for professionals in this sector has increased in order to meet the needs of people suffering from injuries sustained at work and traffic accidents, and to meet the needs of a growing society that, thanks to the advancements achieved, has a greater life expectancy, but also longer lasting chronic illnesses. At our university, we give excellent theory-based and practical training to our students so that they are able to treat their future patients as best as possible and to lead a successful career.

Unique and differential training that allows students to obtain not only the degree, but also skills and knowledge in some of the most sought-after therapeutic areas in the labor market, corresponding to a postgraduate degree: Manual Therapy; Dry Needling and Sports Physiotherapy.

The teaching staff comprises qualified physiotherapists that combine teaching with their professional activity at hospitals, sports clubs, and physiotherapy centers and clinics. 60% of the teaching staff of the physiotherapy department have a PhD.

• International dimension

There is the possibility of studying the degree entirely in English and/or enjoying an international experience studying part of the program at a foreign university located on a different continent.

• The degree with the most clinical practice hours in Spain

Over 1,000 correspond to practice hours in clinics and hospitals, and there is the possibility of carrying out extracurricular practice hours from the second year onwards. Simulated practices are undertaken in small groups with a maximum of 12 students.
